The Lavender Line
We are very pleased to announce that the Lavender line will be open for an additional day on the Easter weekend Good Friday. There will be a half hourly timetable consisting of one of our heritage diesels paired with our toad brake van which will be providing train rides with a difference.
We will be open for Easter Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday over the bank holiday period. On Easter Sunday and Monday there will be a steam service on timetable which will be provided by our resident steam engine Austin 1. This is also our war weekend at the railway which will give you the opportunity to watch and imagine what Isfield would be have been like during the second world war. There could be an opportunity on either Easter Sunday or Monday to run our new steam engine Yvonne on an extra passenger service from platform 1 but this information will be given sooner to the event once details have been finalised.
On Good Friday the railway will be hosting children’s crafts at the railway which will be hosted in the party coach located on platform 1. For just £1 per child kids can take part in a number of craft activities in the party coach and even take part in a competition for just 50p to win a family ticket at the railway. Over Easter Friday, Sunday and Monday there will also be an Easter bunny hunt which kids can take part in for just £2.00, with this you have the opportunity to hunt the hidden bunnies around the railway and each one completed receives a chocolate Easter egg!
