The Lavender Line
We are very pleased to announce that the railways resident Belgium steam engine ‘Yvonne’ will be in steam this coming weekend on Sunday 18th May. She will be sharing the day’s services with resident Diesel 0-6-0DH ‘Valiant’ of which will be on the main passenger service. ‘Yvonne’ will be on an alternating timetable with ‘Valiant’ throughout the day with trains departing from both platform 1 and 2.
‘Yvonne’ will be used for a private filming job during the day of which will be taking place at around 1.00pm, during this period between 1.00pm and 2.00pm there will be no passenger trains but you are more than welcome to watch ‘Yvonne’ carry out her duties. Either side of these times will be a normal half hourly service with the first train departing 11.00am from platform 2 which will be formed of ‘Valiant’ and the toad brake van. The timetable will alternate between the steam and diesel service on the hour and half hour. The last train of the day will depart Isfield at 4.30pm and will be formed of ‘Yvonne’ and the 108 coach.
