No Full Length Train Rides Between Sunday 11th October And Saturday 31st October

As of this coming Sunday 11th October, the railway will not be operating any full length trips between Isfield and Worth halt until Saturday 31st October due to essential track maintenance which is being carried out during the week and weekends.

Although there will be no full length trips between Isfield at Worth halt for 3 weeks, we will however be operating a shuttle service between Isfield and the overhead bridge with all trains departing from platform 1. This will be operated by our resident shunter ‘Ruston’ along with the Toad brake van with trains running on an on-demand basis. The station site will still be open as normal which includes, the Cinders Buffet, play area, shop, model railway, signal box and museum coach.

Like most preserved railways we have a legal duty to ensure the railway is safe and secure for public running which sometimes means closing off a section of track to allow the P gang to carry out their work safely.

We are also expecting some large track-work vehicles to arrive on site over the coming days which may make parking in the railways car park difficult, if this becomes the case the gate access to the field will be opened to allow vehicles to park in the neighbouring field behind the Laughing Fish pub.

We thank you for your understanding and patience during the maintenance work and we look forward to welcoming you back to our full length trips after October
