Lavender Line News
Over the past few months it was agreed that more money should be spent refurbishing the station site itself, the gents toilets doors is a good example of what that money is being spent on. These doors are thought to be over 25 years old and have been rather neglected due to money being spent else where. Last year the gents toilets roof was replaced due to it leaking, this roof is thought to be the original LBSCR glass roofing which is more than likely the reason why it has struggled to hold off the rain.
Other refurbishments around the station site includes resurfacing the tarmac on platform 1, this expense is a necessary due to the condition of the platform and more patching more is expected to commence over the next few weeks.
