The Lavender Line
If you are stuck for things to over the long summer holidays why not take advantage of our mid week summer holiday specials with every ticket priced at just £5.00!
We will be running our mid week services every Wednesday and Thursday throughout August with all trains diesel hauled, this will most likely be our unique Wickham rail bus. This beautifully restored rail bus is a self powered single coach which allows you to enjoy an almost 360 degree view of the colourful Sussex countryside. All tickets include site access for attractions such as the signal box, model railway, buffet, picnic area, family play area and of course unlimited train rides along the beautiful Wealden behind one of our heritage diesels.
Why not break your train journey up by alighting at our new station at the end of the line ‘Worth halt’, this is the latest addition to the railway and has already proved to be a real success with visitors as it is now possible to alight at the end of the line and enjoy the Sussex woodlands. Trains will be running throughout the day from 11.00 until 4.00 with departures at approximately every half an hour, departures from Isfield may be at infrequent times due to the off peak service, normal service days such as our Sunday service will include half hourly departure throughout the day.
