Christmas at Isfield 2012

Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd October

We are extremely pleased to announce that we have released details for this years Christmas at Isfield. The lavender line is well know for its atmospheric Santa specials, from the warm and cosy fire in the buffet to a train ride through the beautiful Sussex countryside this really is the way to count down the days to Christmas.

Make this years visit to Santa extra special, with unlimited train rides throughout the day on one of our steam or diesel hauled trains followed by a fresh mince pie, tea or coffee for the adults and of course a present given personally by Santa for the children.

There’s nothing like the sight and sounds of a rural country station during the run up to Christmas, the smell of coal lingering in the air to the cold crisp mornings. Why not take advantage of this unique chance to visit one of the most beautiful locations in the south, visit Santa and enjoy the atmosphere of Isfield station.

This year there will be a mixture of both steam and diesel which is listed below along with all Santa special dates.

Sunday 2nd December- Steam hauled

Saturday 8th December- Diesel hauled

Sunday 9th December – Steam hauled

*Saturday 15th December- Diesel hauled*

Sunday 16th December- Steam hauled

Saturday 22nd December- Diesel hauled

Sunday 23rd December- Steam hauled

*On Saturday 15th December the Lancing brass band will be playing seasonal Christmas carols on Isfield station between 12.00 and 2.00pm. The perfect way to get you in that Christmas mood.

Ticket prices for Christmas at Isfield

Adults £10.00

Children (3 to 15 years of age) £10.00

Children under 3 £4.00

 All ticket prices include unlimited trains rides throughout the day, a fresh mince pie and tea or coffee for the adults and of course a present given personally by Santa for the children. Make this year’s trip to Santa extra special with a trip to the Lavender line

Opening times for Christmas at Isfield

The Lavender line will be open on both Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 4.30pm, Santa’s grotto will be open from 11.00am until 4.30pm

What time do the trains run?

The first train will depart Isfield station at 10.30 on both days with trains running on the hour and half hour until 4.00pm, the last trains departs Worth halt at 4.15pm. There may be an extra train service at 4.30pm if there is demand.

How to book for Christmas at Isfield

There are several ways in which you can purchase your Santa special tickets.

1. Simplify grab one of our Christmas at Isfield leaflets from the station or any other places that have the leaflets on show and fill out the form on the leaflet, follow the instructions and send to the address below or hand the leaflet to the booking office at Isfield station
