The Lavender Line
Struggling to find things to do over the half term week? Well the Lavender line is extremely pleased to announce our half term specials which will be operating on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st February.
Why not take a trip to the Lavender line for a morning or afternoon out, take a leisurely train ride behind one of our heritage diesels to Worth halt, enjoy a short walk in Worth woods the head on back to Isfield for a light lunch in our Cinders buffet. The half term specials will be hauled by one of our heritage diesels which will most likely be coupled to our unique toad brake van which hosts a warm coal fired stove within.
The half term specials include unlimited train rides throughout the day, full access to the site including the station and the buffet, play area, all viewing areas and our original Victorian signal box located on Platform 2. All this for a standard price for adults and just £1.00 for kids! A real budget busting price for these difficult times.
Trains run from 11.00 till 4.00 with trains running to an off peak timetable, this includes trains running on demand rather than our usual timetable.
Last train departs Isfield at 4.00 and Worth halt at 4.15
So how about taking advantage of our half term special prices and enjoy a day out in the beautiful Sussex countryside, take a trip behind one of our diesels and soak up the atmosphere of a Victorian station surrounded by railway memorabilia nestled by an open fire.
Our first steam trains of 2013 will be over Easter weekend when our resident steam engine Austin 1 takes charge of our service trains on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Steam will then be in charge on the first and last Sunday of the month including bank holiday Mondays.
