The Lavender Line
Back by popular demand for 2013 we are very pleased that we will be offering the opportunity to travel in a unique style this coming Sunday where our goods train will be in service providing rides throughout the day.
Our fleet of goods wagons are currently undergoing a number of safety checks and repairs that will allow them to be used more frequently in the near future, until the wagons are fully operational we will be using our newly restored tanker along with our two resident brake vans to form a pick up goods, the toad brake van will be in service with the goods train to provide passengers an insight into what it was like for the guard of a goods train during the days of steam.
Our resident steam engine Austin1 will be hauling the goods train this coming Sunday 28th April, she will also be on the south end of the train providing excellent photographic opportunities at Worth halt as she makes her way back to Isfield.
Why not make a day of it, how about a trip from Isfield station to Worth halt on our steam train, alight at Worth halt for a scenic walk around Worth woods and a countryside picnic then make your way back to Isfield on our half hourly steam hauled service.
